A container-based approach to boot a full Android system on regular GNU/Linux systems running Wayland based desktop environments.
Waydroid uses Linux namespaces (user, pid, uts, net, mount, ipc) to run a full Android system in a container and provide Android applications on any GNU/Linux-based platform (arm, arm64, x86, x86_64). The Android system inside the container has direct access to needed hardware through LXC and the binder interface.
The Project is completely free and open-source, currently our repo is hosted on Github.
Waydroid integrated with Linux adding the Android apps to your linux applications folder.
Waydroid expands on Android freeform window definition, adding a number of features.
For gaming and full screen entertainment, Waydroid can also be run to show the full Android UI.
Get the best performance possible using wayland and AOSP mesa, taking things to the next level
Find out what all the buzz is about and explore all the possibilities Waydroid could bring
Waydroid brings all the apps you love, right to your desktop, working side by side your Linux applications.
The Android inside the container has direct access to needed hardwares.
The Android runtime environment ships with a minimal customized Android system image based on LineageOS. The used image is currently based on Android 13

I pulled back gently on the sidestick. In X-Plane , the physics modeling for inertia is unforgiving. This wasn't a Cessna that leaped into the air. I felt the delay. I saw the nose wheel lift, and for a heart-stopping second, the main gear stayed glued to the wet asphalt, the wings biting into the heavy air. Then, with a graceful, slow-motion majesty, the runway dropped away.
Requires increased wake turbulence separation from air traffic control. Step-by-Step Flight Guide: Gate to Runway
Without hesitation, Alex banked the aircraft to the left, taking a detour to avoid the storm's worst fury. The A380 responded sluggishly at first, its massive size and weight making it harder to maneuver. But Alex's skills and X-Plane 12's realistic flight dynamics allowed him to adapt and navigate through the turbulent skies. xplane 12 a380
Weighing up to 1.2 million pounds at maximum takeoff weight (MTOW), the A380 possesses immense inertia.
The pushback was a masterclass in scale. As the tug moved the 500-ton beast, Elias looked out the side window. The wing—a massive, flexing architectural marvel—stretched out so far it seemed to have its own zip code. In the simulator's new weather engine, a light morning mist clung to the flaps, the moisture beads shimmering as the four massive Rolls-Royce Trent 900s began their slow, rhythmic rotation. The A380 is notorious for floating. Retard the throttle to idle at 50 feet AGL.
A significant point for those interested in home cockpit building: the A380 is a viable platform, with users actively building their own simulators around it. X-Plane’s open SDK makes such ambitious projects possible. The community is the backbone of the X-Plane experience, and the A380 is no exception. The official support and discussion hub for the Peter Hager A380 is a dedicated subforum on . It is the best place to find troubleshooting help, ask questions, and connect with other virtual A380 pilots. This wasn't a Cessna that leaped into the air
The flight deck of the A380 is distinct, sitting lower than a standard 747 and featuring massive display units. In X-Plane 12, developers have utilized standard 4K and 8K PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures.
The Airbus A380, affectionately known as the "Superjumbo," represents the pinnacle of modern passenger aviation. In X-Plane 12, piloting this double-decker giant offers virtual aviators an unmatched challenge in energy management, flight dynamics, and cockpit systems replication. This guide explores the state of the A380 in X-Plane 12, highlighting the best available models, flight characteristics, and tips for mastering this behemoth. The Landscape of the A380 in X-Plane 12
The X-Works team has focused on implementing custom avionics and flight systems to match the complexities of the A380.
