: To find the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, the ninja must recover three symbols hidden on Wu’s staff.
The season finale, "The Golden Weapon," is an action-packed episode that brings the tournament to a thrilling conclusion. The ninja face off against their toughest opponents yet, using every trick in the book to emerge victorious. The final battle is an epic showdown between Lloyd and the Pyrope, with the Golden Weapon hanging in the balance. | | 70731 | Jay Walker One |
In the climax, Lloyd, freed from possession, confronts Morro inside the crumbling tomb. Morro refuses to accept help, condemning himself to fall into nothingness. The ghost of the First Spinjitzu Master appears, not to punish Morro, but to acknowledge him: "You were never the Green Ninja, Morro... but you were brave." It’s a heartbreaking end for the villain.
Morro is arguably one of the most compelling villains in Ninjago history. Long before Lloyd, Morro was Sensei Wu’s first pupil. Wu believed Morro might be the legendary Green Ninja, a hope that fueled Morro's intense pride. When the Golden Weapons rejected him, Morro left in anger, eventually perishing in the Caves of Despair. As a ghost, his motivation is driven by rejection, envy, and a desperate need to prove destiny wrong. 2. Nya: Becoming the Water Ninja
, the Master of Wind. Unlike previous antagonists who were external threats, Morro is a dark reflection of Lloyd. As Master Wu’s first pupil who believed he was destined to be the Green Ninja, Morro represents the bitterness of rejection. By having Morro possess Lloyd’s body for the majority of the season, the writers effectively raised the stakes: the heroes couldn’t simply fight the villain without hurting their friend. This forced the remaining ninja to find power within themselves rather than relying on their leader. Character Growth and Nya’s Ascent
The season picks up following the sacrifice of Sensei Garmadon, leaving a grieving Lloyd to be targeted by a vengeful spirit.
